• Chandrakant V. Desai, Patron

  Chandrakant Desai, alias Chandu Desai, was the Head of Medical Art Department with Sion Hospital from 1964 to 1999. He simultaneously started Descoarts in 1964 with the aim to provide quality artworks, designs and photography for medical conferences and corporate. His extensive experience and expertise have been fundamental in laying the foundation of Varriance.

  He also holds a bachelor's degree in Arts from J. J. School of Arts and a Government Diploma (GD) in Fine Arts.

   

• Makrand Desai, Founder & Managing Director

  Makrand Desai founded Variance as a partnership firm in the year 2002 with the aim of providing complete event management solutions for the healthcare industry. Since then, the company has evolved and expanded across a broad spectrum of services under his astute guidance and leadership.

  As the Managing Director of Variance, Makrand Desai's responsibility involves ensuring the overall growth and visibility of the company. He hence plays a key role in building lasting relations with clients, partners and friends, both across the country and internationally. He has a keen interest in seeing new and innovative technology applications being adapted at Varriance and used to maximize efficiency, resulting in better planned, managed and executed events.

  Prior to forming Varriance, Makrand started DescoMultimedia in the year 1994 to focus on multimedia presentations & Audiovisual support for conferences. He has been a Member of Business Network International (BNI) since 2007 and under his leadership as the Regional Director (RD) at BNI, the new chapter, BNI Inspire, was launched.

  A graduate in Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, he went on to do his Masters in Computer Information Systems (M.S. CIS) at New Hampshire University. He also holds a PG Diploma in Photography from J.J. School of Arts and in Event Management from National Institute of Event Management. He is also an international Diploma holder in Event Management (Australia) and has completed the curriculum for life - the Landmark Forum - Basic, Advance & Self Expression & Leadership Programme.

   

• Manish Gurbaani, Co-founder & Director

  As Joint Director and COO , he is responsible for managing existing clients and new business opportunities for meetings, incentives & special events. He also oversees the event operations, right from planning to execution. His special interest lies in conception of a series of proprietary B2B events that will re-define how companies can maximize business opportunity through the events platform.

  Manish is a Commerce graduate with PG Diploma in Event Management (National Institute of Event Management) and International Diploma in Event Management (Australia).
